Hi, I’m Hannah pegram.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and a graduate of the UNC Charlotte MSW program. I have over seven years of experience, including internships and clinical work in settings such as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Atrium Behavioral Health, and group private practice.
I currently work with both adolescents and adults who are prepared to actively engage in the therapeutic process. Common areas of focus include stress and emotional regulation, health-related concerns, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. Therapy often involves increasing self-understanding, examining patterns that feel stuck, and developing skills and awareness that support greater stability and balance over time.
My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, with attention to the broader context of each client’s life. I take a holistic perspective and often incorporate dialectical strategies - balancing acceptance and change (IYKYK).
I also live with chronic health conditions and anxiety, which inform my clinical perspective and supports a nuanced understanding of how ongoing or invisible challenges can affect daily functioning and self-perception. In sessions, I prioritize emotional safety, openness, and authentic direct conversation. One of my favorite sayings? “There’s no such thing as TMI in therapy.” Whatever you bring, we can unpack it together, safely and without judgment, and maybe even with a bit of laughter.
When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me trying seasonal coffee or tea flavors, reading whatever captures my curiosity (often going down a rabbit hole), watching the occasional random show, and making playlists for different moods. I believe growth doesn’t have to be perfect… it just has to be yours. When you’re ready, I’m here to help you navigate it.
Created and facilitated self-love groups for adolescents and adults.

PERSON-CENTERED:
Emphasizes treating individuals as unique persons recognizing their specific needs, values, and preferences.
STRENGTHS-BASED:
Identifies individuals' strengths and resources to promote personal growth and well-being, rather than concentrating on deficits or problems
HOLISTIC:
Considers the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) rather than focusing only on specific symptoms and issues. Often acknowledges interconnectedness of all aspects in a person’s life
DIALECTIAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT):
I am foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and have applied it in both individual and group settings. DBT is a structured therapeutic approach that helps clients develop skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It emphasizes validating and accepting emotions before working on behavioral changes, acknowledging multiple perspectives in the process.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT):
I often incorporate CBT methods into sessions to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to underlying depression, anxiety, or self-esteem challenges.
